Hi, my name is Neil Black. I was born and raised on St John's Estate, Huyton. I moved to Warrington in 2003.
I started playing in 1985 because I was in awe of The Beatles and wanted to write songs like theirs.
My main influences are The Beatles, John Martyn, Beth Nielsen Chapmen, Clapton, Prince, George Michael, The Jam......
I use a Dean sweetwood 00R Acoustic guitar a Fender copy electric guitar and a Yamaha DGX 620 digital piano.
Instruments I would love to own are a Nathan East 5 string bass (signature) a Yairi Acoustic guitar and a Clapton signature Fender.
The song 'Are We Really Free' is a very personal song, but pretty self-explanatory. I think there is at least one line in the song that anyone can relate to. I hope you like it.
