Jackie & Geordie Campbell - (Piano)
WACIDOM (Warrington Arts Council Initiative for the Development of Music) started arranging free lunchtime recitals on a regular basis in 2000. That year there were 5 recitals, with 14 recitals the following year. Since then, it has arranged between 20 and 22 recitals per year and built up a regular audience. Initially around 20 to 25 attended, but now we regularly have an audience numbering at least 40 and sometimes up to 80. The recitals benefit the musicians by giving them a platform, and the audience by providing a high quality product with easy access in the centre of Warrington.
The recitals have been funded by a grant from Arts Council England and by voluntary donations, but, of course, to maintain them into the future will require further funding. With that in mind, WACIDOM continually looks for sponsorship to safeguard the recitals into the future.

Held at Holy Trinity Church, Market Gate in the centre of Warrington, these recitals are arranged in groups of 4 to 6 weeks throughout the year and start at 12.30pm for approximately 45 minutes.

Bryony Griffith & Will Hampson
English fiddle player and singer Bryony Griffith and melodeon player and dancer Will Hampson have been performing together for almost 20 years.
Their partnership started in the acclaimed ceilidh band Bedlam in their early teens which took them all over the UK festivals and gave rise to the formation of the young Cotswold side, Dogrose. They later joined the celebrated Newcastle Kingsmen and have been key members of the award-winning Demon Barbers for the last ten years.
Bryony was also a member of the much-missed acappella group The Witches of Elswick. She has been described as having "the vocal power of a young Norma Waterson, the poise and attitude of the late Sandy Denny and the stage presence of Janis Joplin." (Allan Wilkinson, Northern Sky). Add to that her "deliciously rustic" fiddle playing (Colin Irwin) and Will’s driving yet sensitive box playing and you get a distinctive repertoire of dark ballads, chorus songs and dance tunes delivered with good-humoured Yorkshire banter.
